NO! There are better readers for ebooks that are cheaper, many people say they prefer older ebook readers to the Fire. Some of the cheaper ones Pando(?) ereaders can be turned into tablets with droid. Look into the cheaper ereaders. If you have a DS, just use that for ereading.

I like variety it's more of a relaxing thing. I'm still up in the air but it looks like I may be getting the kindle fire but the tablet that you showed me it's kind of interesting but I don't like the fact that has a camera. Not everything needs a camera.

Have you actually used the $100 Pandigital Android tablets? They are just awful. There's a reason they're so cheap.

Elaborating. I don't think I'd ever buy and ereader, but if I did I would go for the simple cheap versions. Ereaders aren't as capable as netbooks so don't buy them for that, they're not even as capable as a powerful cell phone. If a person buys an ereader they ought to be buying one almost strictly for reading books, and they work great for that purpose, if a person want more than that they should be buying something else. From what I've been reading people say the black and white screen versions are pretty much the best for reading ebooks. Simple, cheap and effective. I wouldn't advocate someone buying an ereader for much more than reading ebooks, but if they want a little more than that the Pandigital seems to be a good buy. I can't see the sense in having a laptop and a kindle fire, but it's not my money. OP seems interested in just reading books, so really she should be shopping for the simple ereaders, no Pandigital or Fire, just old school ereaders.

If you want an e-reader for a good reading experience, then no. Get something with e-ink.
If you want a tablet that can also read books, maybe. It's a locked down version of android (Though you can always root it and add the google stuff back in so it's actually usable).
Lastly, 6GB of e-books at one time? What the. You don't need that many books on a reader at one time ever. My kindle 3 has 3GB of storage, and that's more than enough. Just use some library software like http://calibre-ebook.com/ to manage your books.

I'm not sure how it is as an e-reader, but I've played with one and I can tell you the browser on the Kindle Fire is absolutely unmatched. I only partly understand the details of how it works, but the user experience is untouchable. If you think Chrome is a good browser you will love the kindle fire browser.
