Various shops started selling their copies a few days early. The console copies are playable just fine, but the PC copies can only be decrypted using Steam, which will be available in about 6 hours.

Yes! The torrent has been online pretty much since they appeared in stores, and now the crack is a day before release. Nice.

A lot of comments state they lag a lot, but they probably just have shitty machines. I'll report back after I got it all installed here, and running.

I like the combat much more than Oblivion's though. It's better made and more challenging, you can't just keep hitting them and quickly stepping back. Also dual-wielding anything kicks ass.

I don't like them using Fallout locks though. I liked how in Oblivion you could pick any lock regardless of difficulty. You miss a lot with Fallout locks if you don't specialise in lockpicking.

I got it for Xbox. I really thought the controls for oblivion were fine on Xbox, and I prefer controllers. Pretty much only strategy and MMOs do I prefer pc.

Really? Because I couldn't do shit against it. Then again, all I had was a mace and a weak flamethrower spell. I'll go to that college of magic and get a better destruction spell I think. And yeah, I turned the difficulty up a notch in the beginning. Regular bandits are still hilariously easy to kill though.

Also, agree about the controller. Even Oblivion lets you use a 360 controller on the PC. It works great.

Yeah... It really suprised me, and I also just had a steel mace and used a pretty basic spark spell, seeing as I figured it would be resistant to fire or something. Though I did improve the mace and all the armor to 'finer' levels at a blacksmith

I didn't move the difficulty at all from the default which might explain why it's being a bit easy.

I haven't used the controller myself as I prefer mouse and keyboard but I noticed it supported it when the game first started and the controller was plugged in and it ignored the mouse and keyboard, lol. But it's pretty neat how many games support it.

Have they fixed the problem of friendly NPCs not scaling with your level? In oblivion all the friendlies would die in a hit or two because I was high level. I would always join tr Mage guild first so I could make my own spells.
