Welcome to the bunker. This site is here until the normal site is back up or moved.

So it seems our hoster is having some serious issues. I can not get any details to what is going on. But I can confirm that I got an email a few days ago from them asking me to make a backup, and wait for further details (vague I know). Other customers I know have received the same email.

What's next? Well I have enough donations left to buy a few months of hosting over at Hostedrapidly (yes, the same hoster as TC is on now).

I wish reWired would give me some details to what the hell is going on rather than keeping us in the dark. If nothing has been cleared up by tonight I will purchase hosting from Hostedrapidly.

Updating the backup, meaning a new copy of the database and only downloading new images. And I'd put the database in a .tar.lzma archive, since 99% of the content between them would be identical. For that matter, there's not a whole lot of reason to keep any more than the 2 most recent db backups as far as I can see.

I'm not entirely sure what would go wrong that I would need to roll back the database like that? Either way, you still can store all the db files in the lzma archive without using much extra space, if you feel like it.

Hourly backups? I mean backing up locally to HD. Obviously it would take quite some time to back up the images, but it's the only way to be sure something is backed up. I kind of assumed people did local backups when you get an email like that. O_o
