if they had just allocated some taxes for healthcare, this wouldn't even be an issue.

Yes and taxes can pay for it just like with every other bit of vital infrastructure in this country.
I still don't get how this became so fucked.
There was already a legal form of extortion that's constitutional (taxation), so why the fuck do we need to establish additional forms of legal extortion to pay for each program we want to implement?
