Oh yeah but AI is going to take over the world and kill all of us and that’s socially acceptable to say while you dump trillions of dollars into building data centers, because I don’t know, we’re living in a low budget sci fi movie written by a guy who doesn’t really like science fiction.

I do miss aliens, but I also feel it was yin and yang with 1960's-1990's midwest 'culture' so I can do without the crop circles if it all fades into obscurity.

It would be funny if aliens did visit and always chose subjects like Joe Bob because they knew nobody would believe him except some chintzy TV producer looking for content for “dramatic recreation” fare like “Unsolved Mysteries.”

The fun of those shows is that they’re cheap shlock. You have a narrator and B-roll and possibly a couple of interviews. It’s a retelling that ends on a question mark. And yet, highly watchable.
