It's one of those violations I can't really get worked up about. I mean, who really cares that much?

Where it actually requires people to do something (requiring kids to say the pledge of allegiance for instance), I have a bigger issue with it... but just stripping god out of everything for no real reason seems silly to me.

Yes. It isn't a long held tradition. It was simply propoganda from the 50s.

Fundies often point to it as proof we are a Christian nation. It sends the wrong message.

If I could snap my fingers and make it go away, I would. I don't think it's worth the fight to get it removed. A lot of people would get upset. It bothers me less that it exists than it would bother them to remove it.
