Humans were stuck in ignorance in the Garden of Eden zoo. Satan set them free. Satan is the Prometheus who frees humanity from blind obedience. I don’t recall Satan sending murderous angels about, burning cities down, sending the Flood, plagues. And Satan was a prosecutor in Job but then was retconned as a cosmic villain in the New Testament.
