I selectively bought the dip in the “SaaSpocalypse.” Because vibe codes AI scripts weren’t going to magically replace trusted software that handles compliance, purchasing, makes tax assignations, and that comes with service-level agreements and cyber security.
Fucking idiots never consider timelines when they’re caught in hype. Sure, could Anthropic create some market focused plays and disrupt SAP? Yes. Is it a two month proposition? No.

You are really fixated on proving that AI can't replace programmers.
It doesn't need to replace all of them btw, even if there are still full time human engineers maintaining enterprise software, there will be a lot of grunt code monkey jobs that get automated and then those people will apply for new jobs which drives down swe salaries.
How much debt are you taking on for the CS degree?

You must mistake me with someone else. I do believe AI can, and that some products will contour to usurp that software. I’m saying you’re not displacing Crowdstrike and SAP tomorrow. Tons of shitty databases with a mediocre “AI-powered” UI will disappear, but not all SaaS overnight.
