Topic: A lack of world events / need for a societal reset

This might sound weird, but I feel like we need a major historical event to happen. People are too complacent with the status quo, which is just going to lead to everything getting crappier. Things will just keep getting more expensive, politics will just keep getting dumber, wages will keep stagnating, billionaires will become trillionaires, the internet will become 99% AI slop, people will get laid off, everything in the future is going to be like the present, just a bit crappier and crappier. But people are too comfortable to shift things up enough to revitalize things. If we just had some massive war, or some catastrophic event, I don’t know, Yellowstone erupts, aliens invade, world war three, a new pandemic, I think we need something to wake us up.
