It's like there so stupid and you're just so smart. You know what I mean? Like the way I think is just so sophisticated compared to them. They're almost like monkeys really.

so like, this chick could not accept that I had hairs on my wrist visible beyond the shirt. like, what the fuck bitch, never saw a real man's arm before?
> Maybe this is how really rich people feel about poor people.
Rich people aren’t necessarily that smart. Think about it, if you woke up tomorrow with 100 million dollars, why would you spend years working hard to reach 100 billion when you could just move to some tropical country somewhere, have a house by the beach, eat good food, relax, and become an artist and follow your passion or something? Only a stupid person would get that rich and keep working.

Well, you don’t have to be that smart to be smarter than almost everybody. It’s kinda believable that somebody would genuinely feel like this.

Like if you’re good at math or you know a lot about science or you can engineer something that’s cool. That’s not even what I’m talking about. Not being stupid puts you ahead of more than half the population.

pro tip: if you ever find yourself thinking "everyone else is stupid except me", chances are very high that it's actually YOU who isn't aware of some basic concept, idea, or worldview. i mean what's more likely? you have a level 9 turbo genius intellect or you're just inexperienced and overconfident? (it's the second one)

Now the latest thing is AI "you don’t even have to think bro, nobody will have to think in the future dude, we’re all going to outsource our thinking to ChatGPT, there’s no point in knowledge work anymore." Meanwhile nobody is asking their favorite chatbot about dementia statistics. You know old people who actually have a hobby are less likely to get dementia than old people who sit around all day watching TV? Maybe some frontier model will come up with a cure for dementia, I don’t know. Or maybe not.

I don’t think that’s logical. Just look at history. Were all those wars smart? Millions of people just got up one day and started murdering each other because somebody told them to and everybody else was also doing it? The wisdom of the crowd only exists when every individual in the crowd is thinking independently. As soon as individuals in a crowd start communicating with each other, the effect goes away.
