If it were up to me all that’s needed is remove:

-Anything related to anthropomorphism(specifically animals)

- Adult comedy(toilet, dark, etc)

- Superhero

Those three concepts are the primary reasons for the decline in quality. Remove those things and you’ll have content that would rival studios and publishers like MAPPA and shuiesha.

I would then implement a similar category system regarding age like Japan/Korea in the case of comics:

Action/Adventure/Sport/Martial Arts/Fantasy/Horror
Young Male(13-17)
Adult Male(18-35)

Romance/Slice-of-Life/Mystery/Fantasy/Suspense
Young Female(13-17)

Romance/Crime/BL/GL/Slice of life
Adult Female(18-35)

Crime/Thriller/Action/Suspense/Mystery/Horror
Older Adults-Male/Female (35+)

It’s a tentative idea but I believe this would be beneficial and would help provide quality content through strict guidelines. Plus this should in theory please a good amount of people across the board as long as the following criteria is met:

- No pushing for particular identity to be the default. Meaning no “black stories”, “white stories”, “gay lesbian stories.” Just general stories about people and circumstances, regardless of the creator’s background.

- a balance of stylized and realism which is desired. Stories have to look very cool. Not just interesting or unique but cool. Like something you’d wanna collect as a figure(think gundam and gunpla) no more big mouth, family guy, Rick and morty, Newgrounds, DeviantArt, CalArts, Disney)

-no agenda pertaining to ideals. We have enough arm chair philosophers as it is. Nobody wants to be forced to listening to preachy sermons.

Ultimately the goal is to have jobs for folks but at the same time do away both “woke left”, “edgy right”. Granted I know this is something that a lot of you would disagree with and that’s ok. However I would the two sides are direct responses to the other.

If we can make content where a white guy can watch a story about a character that just happens to be black/brown but never really bat an eye to that detail because the story is not about a black guy but about some crazy situation that could happen to literally to anybody then great. The same is true if it’s the other way around as well. If the protagonist is white guy and he/she is the hero. They’re not a hero because of their race or some benign nonsense. Its just happens that the story is about them in some fantastical situation.

Throw away the politics, ideologues, etc and you’ll have some solid stories, cool looking and memorable art.
