I'll "watch" movies in various states and quietly write into the void about what I thought

I used to have books of reviews and books analyzing film. I can’t buy most of the new stuff. It’s written in academic language and is filled with nonsense about the male gaze and patriarchal constructs. It isn’t written to be read.

Had an ex like that. She was fun to fuck but hated hearing her spiel about the patriarchal construct.
Like I know it’s not personally towards me but at some point that shit got tiresome because of the constant gross generalization. Fuck give us a break.

It doesn’t accomplish anything. It’s cope and blame. Funny how the latest generation neglects most of the 1980s, like Betty Friedan’s Second Stage, which sought achievable goals like daycare and making men allies. I don’t know any woman under 45 who has heard of it, let alone read it.

I wonder how long women would listen to spiels about toxic femininity, the hypocrisy of feminism in its treatment of alimony and family courts and criminal sentencing. And why should they. It doesn’t apply to all.
