That's cool but it doesn't list everything. If I didn't know about Thermal Paste for example I would not have gotten any and would have destroyed my computer/delayed construction.

Optical drive (go cheap as fuck, mine was 15 bucks)
And whatever else you want, maybe a burner. Just plug that shit in, wire it up and you're good to go. Ez.

Only if you buy the cpu separate from the motherboard. They sell combos already installed so you don't need to worry about it.
Also if you buy them separate the cpu will come with thermal paste already on it, just install it and press on the heat sink. You'd only need paste if you install a nonstandard heatsink, but even those come with a dollop of thermal paste.

You'd need to search for that, but probably not. But the chip itself will come with a fan and paste. I'd be shocked if it didn't. You'll probably just need to buy the chip and find a motherboard for it. Plug it up and you're done. Ez.

Too much memory imo. 4 is plenty, 8 is substantial (more than enough) and 16 is kinda nuts unless you're planning to be doing a lot of rendering or want to run 100 instances of something.

Fill half your memory slots with 4-8gigs. Save some cash and get the gtx570.
Upgrade memory if you need it (you won't) and upgrade the videocard when you need it.

Ok so i did some calculations and it would cost the same to within a few pence to order this stuff pre-built from PCSpecialist, plus I get a new case and a set of headphones/mic for online with the pre-built option.So I do not think I have to worry about making my own. Thank god for PCspecialist.
Really need to learn how to build a computer though, LOL.

I'm just kind of scared I'll be saving for months and months and then break the stuff when I get them. It will take me 6 weeks to save for that system lol.

Practice on your old computer. Disassemble, reassemble. Watch a walkthrough on youtube or something. Search "changing out cpu" and you'll see how to remove and reinstal it. Cards just plug in, cables just plug in. Everything pretty much comes with instuctions, and in a new case all the wires are labeled. Most plugs are shaped to fit, so it's hard to plug shit in wrong unless you really try to force it. Think of it like lots of round pegs and square holes, and square pegs and round holes. Just pay attention and press firmly, not forcefully. The hardest part is mounting an aftermarket heatsink if you get one, those require a mounting plate to be added to the motherboard, but even that is easy if you read the instructions.
But yeah, if you're not comfortable taking your old one apart, then I wouldn't start by building a new expensive one. Maybe buy the parts, then play with your old computer until you've taken it apart and put it back together once.
Also, ground yourself (even though i never do and have never shocked a card. I hear it's possible though. Maybe don't wear wool socks and rub them on the carpet before handling it)
