Even if you did some wacky crazy probably impossible thing and uploaded your consciousness into a computer, I’ve seen videos where people restore old computers from the 1980s. A computer isn’t going to last a billion years, the capacitors will explode.

And I’m not saying a cult can’t later become a religion, but the Scientologists must farm for aura for several centuries and then they might be recognized as a legitimate religion. Technology just has to adapt to the point where people are so disconnected from our world of today they look back at now and they think this was Scientology times, like we call the past Bible times. Tbh if humans went extinct for some reason, I wouldn’t be surprised if the tallest structure in the world in the future would be the pyramids, because I don’t think any of our skyscrapers will last thousands of years since steel rusts. The the only non-steel framed structures that are taller would be the Washington monument, which is less stable due to its shape and built on swampland, and the medieval gothic churches in Europe, which are more delicate.
