Honestly I think that’s mostly what the racists on here are doing. Only they’re less ethical about it, they just want to be cruel for the sake of being cruel to make other people feel whatever pain they’re feeling, only they don’t care if the other person deserves it or not. Maybe this like a glass half full type of thing on my end but I suspect that every one more or less is on here for the same reasons you’ve listed and when it comes to racism I believe theres very small percentage of them existing on here. Like the rest are just bullshitting out of boredom but the ones who truly make it a point to intellectualize their disdain are a minority and nobody takes those people seriously anyway because we just assume they’re another anon just shit poasting.

I think that’s one of the issues with social media in general, humans naturally respond to negative stimuli twice as much as positive stimuli because we evolved that way for our survival. So algorithms that promote negativity naturally will get more clicks, more time spent online, more ad revenue, etc. I think we’re seeing the effects of that politically around the world. Herds of people are a weak thing that are easily influenced. I’ve seen people get their politics from AI videos and defend it, it’s pretty bad.

The other thing that’s sad is I’ve noticed they can’t say why they’re proud of being white, all they can do is point at somebody else, because they don’t actually have anything worth being proud of.
