Steal kills as much as you can! Stocking up on consumables early game is a good idea if you have to go back to base for a heal, heal mastery is also a must as well, it will keep you in lane longer early game so you can level up faster than your enemies and own them. I buy a Vampiric Scepter as my first item with any non-mana-sucking champion, it will help keep your health up and you can buy a bloodthirster earlier. I buy a Meki Pendant first for any mana hungry champs, and buy a Tear of the Goddess ASAP. I only play fiddlesticks and sometimes Brand for mages, Udyr and Nunu for melee and Te emo or Twitch for ranged. I own with Te emo, but do equally well with Twitch. I own a bunch of champs and have played almost every champ available. If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to answer them.

My current favourite is Singed, I find him easy to play and especially good at taking enemies down.
Miss Fortune would probable be my second go-to.
I haven't unlocked any of the characters you've mentioned, I was thinking of buying Cho'Gath next. If you have a better champion in mind I'd love to hear.

Tryndamere is always good choice. Cho is okay but he's total hit or miss because of his stacks, either you do well or you just have a bad game. The champions are all pretty well balanced, so there aren't any champs that are vastly better then other champs, it just depends on your playstyle, some just suckass, but not many (shen, tristina etc). Singed is a good champ in the right hands, but I just don't have the patience to play him how he has to be played. Master Yi is the best champ (most consistent) in the 450 IP range. In the 1350 IP range Jax, Morgana, Fiddlesticks, Teemo, Tryndamere or Warwick would be a good choice. Master any of those champs and you can rack up 30-40 kills in a great game, and average around 20 in a good game.
