Stocking up really just feels like putting a target on your back. If shit really hits the fan, people will absolutely start looting and breaking into your home. You'd be better off training to be effective at defending your home with firearms and martial arts if necessary maybe get a guard dog too. Let's be realistic here though, the US and Europe will generally be fine because they're rich. Places like africa and south east asia are absolutely fucked though and many people there will probably die. So the big question is will the US and Europe do their best to keep those people out when they inevitably try to come here so they don't die or will they let those people in

No it’s the other way around. Rich countries will be hurt more because industrial economies are more dependent on oil. Africa doesn’t use that much oil.
