I like Savannah and Charleston. For a weekend. I can’t stand the fake politeness. Plus there’s a lot of racism denial. I toured a plantation once and the guide noted how the family had turned the property into a 501(C)3 that they still managed. Plus, their descendants were nice and enlightened and never snuck into the women’s quarters for personal brothel time. They even bought items from the slaves’ gardens! It was disgusting. Imagine going to Dachau and hearing how it was a lovely summer camp for leftists, Jews, trade unionists, and clergymen. They had pajama parties daily!
