Do you think there will be a time in the long term future that the world will run out of natural resources? Things like oil, fresh water and ground nutrients in the soil that takes away all vegetation, which in turn kill off animals and finally humanity?

Sure - no atmosphere and the rest falls away. We can look like Mercury or Mars with a little bad luck.
But probably not from the global warming crowd point of view - the earth can be inhospitable for humans and some life could still march on... probably wasps and ants and such.
