There's this perception of Asia and Asian communities outside of Asia having little to no crime but when you actually look into it, there's a fuck ton of crime. It's just generally much more hush hush compared to crime in some other areas. It's really nuts how corrupt and crime infested so much of the world really is. When you think about it, it's hilarious how the 80s are portrayed as this absolute wild west around the globe with people just massacring each other in the streets and doing cocaine off their grandma's ass cheeks and then you skip forward to today and we're supposed to pretend that all just went away? Chinese gangs in Myanmar do some crazy stuff with regards to kidnapping people and using slave labor for internet scams.
I think the thing is racists like the idea that some cultures are “superior" so they pretend that all crime in society is due to minorities but since western nations aren’t homogenous and since Asians are seen as foreign they do a cost/benefit analysis and decide that praising Asians is worth it since they’re not seen as being integrated in the first place so they figure the contradiction that they’re not white doesn’t matter because the benefit is being able to use Asians as a rhetorical tool to undermine other minorities. But they don’t actually care about Asians.

The clearest example is probably when you get into discussions about affirmative action and biological determinism. Racists will claim that blacks shouldn’t be in university because Asians deserve it more because Asians are smarter or something. But the thing is, they don’t actually think black people are dumb or Asians are smart, they just don’t want non-whites in university, and since Asians are seen as foreign, they’d target Asians next after getting rid of black people. Like for example, before Trump became president the second time, I saw all this stuff on the internet where white people were saying black people don’t deserve to be in college because it’s racist against Asians (interestingly there are a lot of Asians at my university and I’ve never actually heard any of them express that opinion), but one of the first things that happened when Trump became president is they started trying to revoke the visas of Chinese international students. So they don’t actually care about Asians.

Anyway it's only a matter of time until this kind of gig work crime makes its way to the west. Criminal higher-ups won't want to get caught on the local flock camera and there are plenty of poor young boys who need money. I wouldn't be surprised if this system was involved in these cases we see of 50 kids running into a store and stealing everything. We're in for a wild future.
There's lots more fake rice in China, it's a big issue. Sometimes they mix low quality rice in with the expensive stuff to pad it out, sometimes they just literally make plastic rice.
