Isn’t it nice to have an aristocracy? I remember when people laughed at McCain-Feingold pushes for term limits. Funny this is incumbents have the machine and money behind them so name recognition and basic power curve economics keep them in office forever. While there are a few members of Congress who consistently deliver tangible benefits to constituents, it’s not the norm.
