There are always exceptions, but most people who have blonde hair and dark roots tend to be bottle-blondes. Dark eyebrows are common among bottle blondes but they are also common among darker blondes.

Natural blonde hair is about as common as natural red hair. The reason why you see it as being more rare is because there are a lot more people who dye their hair blonde than those who dye their hair red.

I really don't understand it at all. They have a rare hair color that ISN'T commonly synthesized through H2O2 and then they just ruin it by dying it brown, black or blonde. It makes me shake my head to see such a lovely color go to waste. Perhaps childhood bullying may be a reason for wanting to get rid of such hair color.
