I wonder how many rappers really are just cosplaying and end up deep in “the life.” Look at Tupac. He went to the Baltimore School of the Arts, returned to LA to research gangs, ended up in multiple incidents and then was murdered. A guy who studied poetry, jazz, dance, and other arts ends up gangsta.
