Topic: Republicans/MAGA are hilarious

They just keep throwing boogeymen out there to see which one sticks. Communists are taking over! Wait, people don't care? Okay, okay, then, um, Muslims! Sharia Law! What? No reaction? Dammit. Alright, um, trans athletes! lol

It is funny if you think about it because those things aren’t really compatible with each other.

I guess ba’athism is the closest thing maybe.

It’s because they losing the plot so theyre just grasping at straws at this point.

But when you think about it the MAGA/republicans already did the damage anyway. It’s like thanos in IW. They already snapped half the population away and they’ve more or less achieved their goals. Now it’s just matter of an exit strategy because a reckoning is definitely coming when those seats start flipping blue.

MAGA is astroturf populism. The loyalists don’t realize it’s a money and power grab by Trump Inc., and they’re the useful idiots in turning America into the first family’s personal sovereign wealth fund.

In an odd way it’s almost comforting that we’ve created a world where it’s possible to be that dumb and survive.

It is. But it’s also a dangerous inversion. Trump IS smart enough to continually fool oligarchs that he’s a Manchurian candidate but then does his own crazy shit while only being a partial, unreliable patsy.

The "communists are taking over line" is a bipartisan talking point. A lot of establishment dems are warning about the DSA and some are leaving over it.

Muslims might actually take over some day, they are good at multiplying.

No Republicans are saying trans athletes are taking over, they are pointing to the issue as a reflection of democrat ideology. How you dress and present yourself can be justified under a liberal system, but demanding access to female spaces takes away freedom of association from ciswomen. Transitioning doesn't remove sex-based advantages completely, even when on HRT, and the whole thing essentially nullifies Title IX.

I’m not a social Darwinist, but I do find it funny how far right racists will say that women are inferior in terms of physical strength to men, therefore they need their own league to compete. But they’ll also claim that some races are intellectually inferior to others, except they use the opposite logic and say that it’s not fair to treat them different because of that. Which doesn’t make any sense. It’s not consistent logic.

Mr. Bloody Lemonade !0JqexkOGBc double-posted this 2 weeks ago, 1 minute later, 3 days after the original post[^] [v] #1,455,627

You ever think about it? "Women are worse than men, therefore we should treat women better."

"Black people are worse than white people, therefore we should exclude black people to make sure they don’t become successful because they don’t deserve it."

I just find it crazy nobody ever has the balls to point this out. Or maybe everybody is just too dumb to even think about it. But it is pretty funny.

Most Republicans deny races, and attribute differences to culture. Most Republicans do say there are biological differences between men and women.

That's a strawman.

The actual argument is that meritocracy should be race blind, and you aren't guranteed a proportional outcome.

Every time you try to model your opponent's positions, you fail.

There are open racists, but they are the exception.

You believe that different races have different intellectual abilities but you think affirmative action is bad even though you think men and women shouldn’t compete against each other in sports because men and women innately have different athletic ability. So your idea of fairness with regards to gender is opposite from your idea of fairness with regards to race.

So you should support HBCUs then, because it’s just part of the natural hierarchy that blacks would want to make universities for black people.

The obvious error you made here is that there's a difference between the parts of society that exist to get things done vs sports.

If you genuinely can't do a job the best, for whatever reason, that doesn't obligate everyone else to sacrifice their basic needs to make you happy. This applies to much more than race, we wouldn't sabotage infrastructure, food, security, or another essential organization to make someone with a severe disability feel welcomed, for example.

Sports are different, because making an all-woman team doesn't mean that we have shortages, or extensive waste, or put security at risk. Lowering standards for military to get more women in would do that, though.

You are trying to show that I'm stupid by showing everyone you can't tell the difference between DEI in places of material consequence compared to actual games?
