Tbh I don’t get the point of sex scenes, it just makes it awkward as hell to watch a movie with other people. Like literally what’s the correct relationship to have with another human being to watch a sex scene with them? There’s no correct answer to that question.

Then there are some people who are like "well in Europe it’s normal the idea that sex is worse than violence is American stupidity." But the thing is, I genuinely feel more comfortable watching somebody get beat up or shot at than I feel looking at a naked person in front of my parents. You know what I mean? Maybe that’s just me but like, it’s not necessarily easy to logically justify it but I do have less emotional reaction to violence.

I don’t know if this weird, but I honestly don’t like showing affection, because I’m always deeply suspicious of people’s true character. Like one time a girl would always stare at me and I thought she had a problem with me, that wasn’t what it meant, idk.

Modern sex scenes aren’t sexy. It’s abbreviated and jump cut until the guy looks like a minuteman. The woman is sitting on him with covers over her ass and a bra on.
This stuff can be sexy like a novel if there’s lead up. Less so if you have a lame marriage.
