You know what? I have made two quality posts so far, and both have had hateful derailing. Fuck it. I give up. These angry fuckers will do this until they die, no matter what I do. I am just going to fucking be myself and the angry people can kiss my white ass. I am sick of their stupidity.

I’ve been called by a handful of people connected to MC and TC. The people in my immediate family know I do web work and there are odd people out there; I wouldn’t be surprised if my family were to be called, but I haven’t repeatedly irritated the entire fora.

I do empathize with your plight, but I just don’t empathize with how you have handled and reacted to it. Acting like a victim and being so emphatic about that just gives the lulz that [pariah name here] wants and keeps this whole shitfest going. It is wrong to participate in IRL ruination, but it isn’t right for you to keep this going through your own actions.

I have never posted a thread about the hacking attempts or phone calls I have received, other than the bizarre things that are not related to this trollfest (i.e. Ninjj butt-dialing me while he was with Salty).

Haha, sorry. I'll include sarcasm tags or similar; it's hard to detect in text.

Almost all of my posts that include angry rants, racist/homophobic remarks, all caps, or entirely false/wrong statements are sarcastic or sardonic. I'm not as angry or as bi-polar as I pretend to be :)

I am saddened by that because I don't want to portray myself poorly, and my laziness in making shitty or sarcastic posts makes it seem as though I really am that person. I apologize if my words have offended and/or mislead you.

I am not sure; starting to date people can be awkward, but just make a leap at it. Make friends with your people who fit within your desired partners, either through your coworkers' friends or through social networks. Start off with casual time together, and experiment with romantic and/or sexual things that are agreeable to you. Progress from there.

Don't forget safe sex, honesty, a warm attitude, and clear communication. Prepare to be embarrassed, hurt, and confused—it's a long adventure.

Good luck. Coming out will be hard, but if you do it amongst people who like and respect you, it is likely to lead to something positive.

Talk to a licensed counselor. They can be very helpful to direct this paraphilia into positive, healthy, and socially acceptable behaviors.

Like what?

Anonymous R replied with this 15 years ago, 11 minutes later, 5 hours after the original post[^] [v] #27,270

@previous (Q)
I am not a licensed counselor, nor have I studied human behavior in detail, but my understanding is that people can—through clinical personality patterns, chemical imbalances, and/or socialization—develop arousal for things that are outside of the "normal" and/or legal standards. These behaviors are called paraphilias, and you can put yourself in unhealthy situations by training yourself to respond, through arousal, to specific ideas, images, or people.

I don't think of this as a "cure," but as a correction of behaviors that will lead you to lose your liberty, or cause emotional pain to yourself and/or other people. It might turn out that you simply suppress these paraphilias, but understanding that—despite the desire of forbidden fruit—there will not be anything worthwhile to come from fulfilling these paraphilias.

Deciding to act in ways that are considered moral, ethical, and legal will typically bring some inner peace and satisfaction, but it can be a restrictive lifestyle. It's still better than being a felon or hurting everybody you know.

Anonymous Q replied with this 15 years ago, 2 minutes later, 5 hours after the original post[^] [v] #27,275

@previous (R)
No, I meant, what are these behaviors that one would be directed to?

Anonymous R replied with this 15 years ago, 7 minutes later, 5 hours after the original post[^] [v] #27,281

@previous (Q)
That's for you to decide—you need to pick what socialization and sexuality works for you.

It tends to be that socializing and developing romantic interests with people close to you in age is a more healthy, stable, and secure behavior. I'll bet a counselor would suggest that as a reasonable option, and they might be able to help you redirect your desires for friendship, love, and sex into behaviors that are more healthy.

…which tends to be people who are close to your own age.

Anonymous R double-posted this 15 years ago, 4 minutes later, 5 hours after the original post[^] [v] #27,283

@27,275 (Q)
Particularly, though, if your paraphilias cause you to feel anxiety, anger, guilt, or other self-destructive habits, a counselor can help you redirect those unhealthy behaviors into positive coping mechanisms to improve your mood, self esteem, and/or social status.

Good coping mechanisms and behavioral therapies vary. Start by reading "rational emotive behavioral therapy" (or similar) on wikipedia, and you'll start to see how the professionals can be of help.

Ah, those aren't really options for me. I'm not what you'd call personable. Besides which, I'm not really attracted to those types, you know? And really, performing a behavior just because it's more stable and secure smacks of deep insincerity to me.

Really, I mostly just feel lonely.

Ohh, well, fulfilling that need for emotional bond and dislike of loneliness is what I really was implying. Avoiding instability and insecurity was just a very clinical way of saying that there are paraphilias that destroy lives; building emotionally supportive relationships feels good, and it can make your life stable and secure.

My word choices have been so sterile and unemotional to prevent accusing you of things, and reduce the ability for others to join in and start shit.

> Ohh, well, fulfilling that need for emotional bond and dislike of loneliness is what I really was implying.

Sure. Loneliness is pretty awful. Not being able to talk to anyone about what you really are eats you up inside.

> Avoiding instability and insecurity was just a very clinical way of saying that there are paraphilias that destroy lives; building emotionally supportive relationships feels good, and it can make your life stable and secure.

Oh, I doubt that will ever happen.

I feel bad inside because I will never have romantic relationship and will always be alone. When I was younger, I watched a film called, "You Are Not Alone." It made me feel worse because yes, I was alone.

Anonymous R replied with this 15 years ago, 37 minutes later, 6 hours after the original post[^] [v] #27,313

@previous (Q)
It sounds like your anxieties, and their corresponding behaviors, are big limits in your life. My parents were there for me, supportive, and kind, but my own chemical imbalances and poor socialization lead me to have anxiety issues.

I felt unloved, and entirely worthless, alone, and undeserving of love. I had poor relationships with friends and girlfriends until I decided, in November 2004, to start bi-monthly counseling and SNRIs.

The drugs helped me stabilize my mood, reduce panic attacks, think clearly, and focus on school, but they also allowed me to tell myself I had no more excuses and needed to follow through on bettering myself.

My psychologist helped me figure out how much I misunderstood family, love, and romantic relationships. At her advice, I cut off all interactions with my parents for six months. That allowed me to establish my own independence, and we talked a lot to develop and improve my inner dialogue (rational emotive behavioral therapy) so I could develop habits that reduce my chemical issues.

I hope you can find the time, bravery, and desire to heal your emotional wounds. I know you do not have to be alone, and that somebody out there will love you how you are, and even seek to help you better yourself.

Goodnight. Sleep well.
