I feel like this might be the only reason why history seems to have a progression towards freedom, equality, democracy, etc. Because good and evil are both equality likely, but evil people kill other evil people, so there’s some small statistical advantage good people have over bad people.

Think about WWII for instance, the USSR was authoritarian and Nazi Germany was authoritarian, they fought each other. Democracies generally don’t fight each other. That’s probably the only reason why it’s slightly more likely to keep existing.
