It’s ironic, Britain was part of the Roman Empire and the Romans never conquered Ireland, but Ireland is Roman Catholic because the British were Catholic.

Most of Europe used to be Celtic actually before the Romans, but the Romans wiped them out, except for in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Normandy.
