The US is kinda funny, we have trillionaires with rocket and AI companies, but when you drive around, a lot of places just look kinda poor. Not everywhere, some places are nice. But there are some places where you sorta wonder how this is the richest country.

If you ever take a train somewhere instead of flying especially if you’re in the rust belt, they built all the factories by the railroad instead of by the highway. There are a lot of factories and they’re mostly abandoned. But we’re still the richest country. It’s interesting.

We’re headed toward a Caribbean or Brazilian economy. Vast plebe-lands and fortified communities for the elites. Who would rather pay for guards, reactors, and clean water generation than pay taxes.

Then a lot of it seems like it has to do with government regulation being non-existent, companies inventing new metrics, exchanging money in odd ways to increase their valuations. I don’t know, it keeps going up, but it feels off.
