Boomers often were assholes. Women who worked also got to continue doing house chores and childcare. The harried mothers told Gen X boys to step up. Also that female happiness was a goal. Now you have guys running ragged to do their jobs, disproportionate amounts of household stuff with the old man chores, childcare, and women still piss and moan and whine about “unpaid labor.” Targeting female happiness as a goal is ridiculously unattainable, especially in middle age when “hypergamy” ceases to be an option.
