Topic: I'm not even a pedo but

The more I listen to women aged 30+, the more I realize most of these women are just damaged mentally. It really seems like if a woman hasn't found love by 30, she's fucked. I kind of understand why guys are going after young college age girls now. Pretty grim reality

They mindlessly believe the propaganda that says they can do whatever they want without consequence.

Children in adult bodies really.

Good point, let's just let half the population off with no accountability ever so that we don't come off as sexist.

Do you know what a pedo is? Only women are hung up on saying 18-25 are “basically children” and use the fake science that the brain isn’t developed until 25. It’s just an effort to shame men. Ignore it. Then they can go and rage on r/feminism and buy vibrator batteries.

It’s a culture of fragile narcissism and contorted feminism (all men bad, all men cause my problems).

Isn’t that actually true though, the reason why 18 is considered an adult is because of the draft not because of brain development, the earliest they could draft people was after they finished high school, that’s why 18 is the age of adulthood.

Yes but the brain has developed until 25 is a myth. Triggered faux feminists claim women 18-25 aren’t adults.

Did you read the headline of that link you just posted?

That viral claim that your frontal lobe “isn’t fully developed until 25” turns out to be more myth than milestone. Early brain scans showed that gray matter changes dramatically through the teen years, and because studies stopped around age 20, scientists estimated development might wrap up in the mid-20s. But newer, massive brain-imaging research paints a different picture: key wiring and network efficiency in the brain continue evolving into the early 30s.

I mean, it makes sense if you think about it. Humans have a long lifespan, it’s possible to live more than a hundred years, and more intelligent species tend to be more altricial. If humans have large brains and long lifespans, then why would your brain stop developing at 18? Graduating high school isn’t a biological milestone. I think it’s pretty well established that the brain can change its structure, that’s how we learn things, new connections are formed in our brain. We have more neroplasticity when we’re young. You can observe this, a lot of innovations come from young people. It’s easier for a 25 year old to learn something new than it is for a 40 year old. It kinda makes sense intuitively.

It also makes sense in that, if you’re not improving, you’re probably declining. If you think about when people stop getting significantly smarter, it seems like it’s maybe mid 30s.

Key wiring and brain development continues. Did you read the article? You aren’t a child until 25-30. The brain continues to optimize, though that doesn’t preclude adult responsibility and decisions.

I originally replied to a comment that claimed that it’s fake science that the brain doesn’t stop developing until 25. It is a contradiction to bring up an article that says that the brain doesn’t stop developing in your 30s as a counter argument. It doesn’t really work.

If the argument is supposed to be that 18 is the age of adulthood because it’s ridiculous fake science that the brain doesn’t stop developing until 25, linking to an article that says the brain doesn’t stop developing at 25, it actually stops at 30 doesn’t really help the argument it kinda just makes it worse.
