Topic: Trump is always where America was headed.

Anonymous A started this discussion 51 minutes ago #137,040

To the buffoons who think morality or ethics have collapsed, America has a healthy past of swindlers, con men, and financial bubbles. From traveling salesmen to any number of pharmacies that sold laudanum to adulterated food to get rich quick schemes. Throw in the various moral scares. So Trump jumps in on crypto and AI and a DEI moral panic.

Yes he is an idiot in any learned measure. But he has a lizard brain none of us can replicate, along with his ability to attract a coterie of idiots who fall on their swords at his whim — they get fired, disbarred, indicted, and more show up.

The worst lie anybody ever told in the history of the world was when the Nazis told working class whites in Germany they had high IQs. Trump is bringing that here to America by telling coal miners who believe that Mexicans took their jobs that they’re actually high IQ and those Somalian and Indian immigrants are low IQ.

(Coal mining has been automated and we produce more electricity from natural gas now so those jobs actually don’t exist anymore and we’re not stolen by Mexicans.)

People will disagree or get offended by this, but some folks really are dumb, and it is a wicked thing to tell a hoard of idiots they’re actually the geniuses who ought to be running everything.

It’s also ironic if you think about it. White supremacists on the one hand will say, "well my family didn’t own slaves." Which is probably true, most whites were too poor to own slaves, they’ll say, "well blacks didn’t build America they were told to do that by slaveowners," and also say, "I’m Anglo Saxon, look at the accomplishments of the Romans compared to Africa." There are so many levels of irony to their ideology:

- if your family was too poor to own slaves, your family was too poor to be high ranking in the British Empire so it doesn’t make sense to claim that as an accomplishment

- if black people didn’t build America because they were slaves who just did what they were told to do, by that logic, white ethnic Anglo Saxons can’t take credit for the Roman Empire, because the Roman Empire was Italian, Rome just conquered Britain and told them how to be civilized

- ancient Egypt is twice as old as ancient Rome

It’s sort of like you have to be the most stupid person in the world to believe in the stuff these people openly say to each other all the time.
