My first thinkpad was like this too, I spilled all sorts of stuff on it, and it would shut off for awhile and then be back fine once it dried out. I love thinkpads.

You sure lucked out! To be on the safe side you should consider storing it in an airtight container with kitty litter or rice overnight for the next few weeks. Sometimes all can appear okay, but then suddenly no worky again.
