That is pretty dumb. I’d get it if it stripped him of his powers but he seems to be allergic to Kryptonite. I’ve never understood his strength. He could land and cause earthquakes. He punches some villain but somehow the punch doesn’t atomize the villain.

What we need is a realistic movie where the hero goes to fight in a war, he gets shot in the head in the first 5 minutes, then the rest of the movie is about something unrelated. I’d pay to see that if somebody had the balls to make that move.
