I don't like that stereotype either. The logical end of which is the belief children should only ever be around their own parents. This deprives children of the opportunity to interact with adults and is detrimental to their development.

I would say that children should be taught more critical thinking, and skepticism. We need to instill a healthy questioning attitude towards authority figures, and no sex shaming. That makes it even harder for molested children to come forward.
