It’s great but I’m a novice. I think I’m doing well then my board collapses. The whole flanking element and non-linear nature makes it easier for me than chess, where advanced players can memorize sequences and movement patterns.

At first it was hard but then I came up with a strategy while I was playing and started winning a lot. Although I was playing against another novice. But it definitely is a skill you can get better at and there is a logic to it. You have to sort of think about everything at the same time.

Chess is very linear. Go feels limitless. It’s not and it’s bounded but you have a lot more to worry about.

I like things that are more open ended in general. It’s kind of a tangent, but some people are very strict or ideological and insist there’s one correct way to solve some problem or one correct way to think. Like with computers for example, for any given problem, there are dozens of ways to solve it, but they all have pros and cons depending on the situation.

A lot of people crave process and comfort of false certainty. Look at the nonsense people tell themselves with despite the advances in science and tech. Magical crystals, lucky charms, fortune telling.
