People say it's too slow requires a lot of investment. Instead, I kinda see it as a collection, some people collect butterflies or stones, I just collect the one thing that passively pays for itself the next 20 or so years and even faster if you reinvest the dividends. Plus I'd rather be homeless with dividends instead of without

They have a place in all portfolios. We can all fantasize that the next Amazon will make us millionaires but if I look at my portfolio over 20 years dividends play a huge role. Utilities and defense companies don’t go out of business.
