I just think it’s interesting that history started in 1492 and blacks sold blacks into slavery, but we can just forget that whites sold whites into slavery in the Roman Empire. We just get to pretend that didn’t happen and brag about the accomplishments of Rome as Northern Europeans and totally ignore their opinion of Germanic peoples.

Although, one thing about Africa, Jews being used as slaves to build the pyramids: that’s not real, didn’t happen. It was easy to believe that the pyramids were built by slaves until they found the Rosetta Stone and started reading Egyptian hieroglyphs and people realized the pharaoh was giving tax breaks and salaries to workers building the pyramids. So that’s the one atrocity in history that actually didn’t happen, so that’s good to know.

…it’s just really funny to think about. George Washington owned black slaves and they built a monument to him in Washington DC in the style of an Egyptian obelisk using slaves from Africa because whites told themselves they invented the concept of freedom and had to build a monument to themselves but in ancient Egypt they weren’t using slaves to build stuff like that.
