If someone's word incite a reaction and the police need to get involved there are real costs a city has to cover. Payroll, gear, court expenses, inmate costs.
That isn't free. Speakers need to pay if they want to spout words.

They do. Most cities have permit fees for rallies to cover public costs.

Well it’s not expensive enough! It should be $100,000 / hour to speak! You have a right to own guns, don’t you? But the government doesn’t just hand out guns for free! Freedom ain’t free. We should charge people for the right to speak, that way, only people with something important to say will speak. I believe in the free market!

Buying a gun contributes more to the US GDP than those children were. And think of how expensive funerals are, especially when a child dies, it’s more sad so a family really splurges on vaults and metal coffins instead of less expensive wooden ones. And embalming is more expensive. How much does an embalmer need to get paid to make a child who got their brains blown out with an AR-15 look presentable for an open casket funeral? Probably a lot!

You see, this is why capitalism is the superior economic system, it’s efficient. There’s a tradeoff between equality and efficiency, communism might get you equality, everybody might have the same sized slice of the pie, but the pie is tiny. America isn’t about fairness, it’s about collective power. We don’t give a shit about individual wellbeing, we only care about having the most aircraft carriers to project power to third world shitholes. USA! USA! USA!
