The amount of bitching about this is hilarious. Yes it's corruption but where the fuck were you to complain about corruption that actually matters? Suddenly it's corruption in a game of leg ball and it's the end of the world? Get over yourself

What major sports organization isn’t a corrupt cartel? The International Olympic Committee is corrupt through and through. Its members live off of gifts and emoluments. NCAA brings in billions and posts a significant annual “operating loss.” NFL is a legal monopoly. UFC is about to enshittify what’s left of boxing.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has faced widespread criticism and numerous documented high-profile corruption scandals throughout its history. While the organization frames itself as a non-profit dedicated to the "global movement of sport",
independent investigations, criminal proceedings, and investigative journalists have routinely exposed systemic bribery, kickbacks, and financial mismanagement.

Check out my numerous threads whereupon I say with certainty that I have misgivings about the governance of a particular country.
