Yeah. using some webserver software, make a folder of videos available, then use VLC on your phone because it can play videos from URLs.

there's also software that is specifically for this, but you'd have to use their proprietary playback app on your phone.
The benefit to using one of them (OrbPlayer comes to mind immediately) is that they can re-encode on the fly for the device you're using and the quality of your connection.

Is the Orbplayer software free? That sounds ideal. I have way more internet allowance than I would otherwise use and think I'll just stream all my things so I don't have to buy more memory.

Turns out it doesn't requires the clients google account at all in my application, there just needs to be an account linked with the device. Cool beans.
