Topic: Your fate is NOT predetermined by your genetics!

It can’t be, because you can change your genetics yourself. You don’t have to be a scientist and understand genetics or biology or even be smart. If you have an IQ, any IQ at all, even one IQ point, you’re smart enough to do this yourself! In fact, you don’t even have to have access to any controlled substances or chemicals or any radioisotopes or expensive lab equipment or anything like that. In fact, you probably have the necessary materials in your home to modify your DNA already!

You simply need two objects:

- A microwave

- A hammer

Tbh, I think modifying DNA to prevent diseases is probably good, anything more than that and I think it’s a bad idea. Because the human genome is complicated, and I think if we start editing genes to try and improve things like make ourselves more athletic or smarter or whatever, we’re probably going to inevitably mess things up without realizing it. Like idk, maybe somebody thinks it would be cool if their retina didn’t filter UV light so they can see more colors but then the sun burns their retina and they go blind.

Melanin reduces your risk of skin cancer. Everyone who isn’t albino has melanin. Unless you have white hair you have melanin.
