The will was aged. Turned out the lawyer retired a decade ago. So what happened? The lawyer said he already had been paid for the engagement. So he spends an hour on the phone with me telling me what to do, what to look for, and how to easily avoid probate. He also clued me into two safe deposit boxes. The guy rejected payment so I asked him his favorite charity. How often are people this kind?
