On the plus side Ireland is helping multinational corps avoid taxes, so at least as the chill sets into your bones you can get that warm feeling (metephorically) knowing others are suffering too.

Yes, and you can tell the extent of the cooling based on their proximity to Ireland.
The country with the world's highest electricity prices will be hit harder than any other.
Is there something Ireland can do about this? Maybe they can copy Switzerland and let billionares hide blood money in Dublin banks? I don't think that has been tried yet.
