I realized pretty recently that a lot of porn sites have been going extinct. You kinda assume they're gonna be around forever. The big boys like Brazzers etc are obviously still going strong, but I just went to sign up for a couple of networks I've been wanting to add to my collection and was bummed to find they've gone poof.

Anybody know of any online initiatives to archive porn? Especially from that 2003-2013 golden era. Only thing I could find so far is https://wiki.archiveteam.org/index.php/Porn, but it doesn't look like they've done much.

Yeah, I'm aware of Planetsuzy and the handful of other forums. Planetsuzy's issue is the admins are kinda Nazis. They only let full members post in the requests section, and they take an eternity to decide you're worthy enough of that honor.

With all the forums and other sites, you can search for an upload, but:

1. it gets old real fast trying to collect material from a particular source when you have to search 1 scene at a time
2. Most of what's uploaded is content from the giant meganetworks. With smaller/more obscure ones, it gets very spotty
3. About 90% of what's uploaded is videos, pictures are neglected
4. Links and torrents go dead over time. If you're trying to find anything over 10 years old, you're basically SOL

Do you still have the drive? There are some data recovery firms that can help in situations like that.
