Vibe coding is a jerk me off. Remember when we were told all HTML coders were guaranteed $100,000 a year? Almost anyone sentient can do some decent stuff. Real coders outperform in this market but, sadly, often are stuck doing assembly line shit feeding models data and puzzles.

A bit - it's a distraction. He's chasing down instruction manuals and burning man hours on repairs that are more than the replacement part, like burning 5 hours on a 50/50 shot at rebuilding a $30 power supply. My workload goes up when he's goofing off with tech gadgets.

My office uses AI, but only to answer phone calls. Our tech was written years ago and doesn't change except to update a form for clients or change what the banner on a page says.
