Russia has a land area of 17 million square kilometers a GDP of 2.6 trillion USD.
This means each square kilometer of land in Africa on average produces 120 thousand USD / year in GDP and one square kilometer of land in Russia produces about 152 thousand USD / year in GDP.
…every square kilometer in Africa on average has almost 6 times as many people as every square kilometer in Russia, yet despite having more resources per person, each kilometer of land in Russia is used only slightly more productively than each square kilometer of land in Africa.

I like Orthodox churches. Jesus stares down from the dome with disapproval. Martyrdoms and icons on the walls. Ornate metal work, incense, bones of saints (though Spain and Italy have that too).
