well evolution determined that pregnancy is the achievement, rather than the risk, as perpetuation requires new organisms from time to time

As a life marked by punctuated inceldom, I agree. Though for me, the larger risk was disease, then the gamut of female toxicity, then pregnancy. When I did have sex, it was pretty disappointing.
