It is illegal to buy and sell human body parts except in cases where the body was donated and its usage is strictly for research purposes, documentation of origin is almost always required to prove that the human remains are legal to posses. The body was most likely at a body farm and allowed to decompose, then the bones were gathered, cleaned, bleached and then reassembled to be anatomical.
