Beyond that, it was anticlimactic and cheaply done. Homelander stopped being menacing. He was just a whiny, impotent cunt. In the graphic novel, which I looked up after the finale, Noir was a more powerful Homelander clone designed to keep Homelander in check. The U.S. military descends on the superhero rebellion and pulverizes them with V-seeking missiles and depleted uranium rounds.

I agree it was boring and the character arcs went nowhere. They had some interesting backstory for Noir, killed him, replaced him with some other guy who went on to do nothing before being killed himself. What was the point of that character?
